After considerable searching, the best doctor that I found for allergies and other immune system disorders is Dr. Robert F. Cathcart, III. This is why the articles on vitamin C are hosted and provided free of charge.

Key Articles, 1975 - 1994: (Some articles available free via e-mail, as noted by [3]. Many of them may be clicked on.) Additional hard copy reprints are available through Dr. Cathcart's office for a modest handling fee.

[1] Included with other reprints in The Drug Rehab Info Pac $5.00 [2] [2] Available from Wholesale Nutrition, 408-867-6368, 800-325-2664 info@nutri.com. They also have a web site: http://www.mall-net.com/wsnutri/ [3] Available free via e-mail. For those looking at this page in printed form, this page and all the marked articles are also available via the World Wide Web:

Not everyone has access to the World Wide Web. To service the requests for what has turned out to be thousands of copies of these articles, I have set up an automated responder system, a kind of "E-mail Butler". To receive these articles, send e-mail to ebutler@mall-net.com, with the subject/title as REQ WWW. The body of the letter should have the one line message:

       Csend your-email-address

with your e-mail address after the single word Csend. Please observe the proper format and case, and please do NOT put the Csend in the title. Your request will be automatically processed, and a series of articles e-mailed to you within two days. After reading these, you may ask for additional information in a separate e-mail letter.

Ready? Here is the form:

ebutler@mall-net.com

Additional articles are also available, see the receipt file that comes with all requests.

Please note that Dr. Cathcart does not (yet!) have e-mail. We do not provide him with E-mail or other services. His telephone number is 650-949-2822, and his FAX number is 650-949-5083. Please contact him directly. If you call him, I would appreciate your mentioning that you heard of him on the internet. (It might help persuade him to join us all on it.)

Also note that I am not a doctor, nor a biochemist, nor do I give medical advice. I do not gain financial compensation from providing information on allergies via e-mail. I do this as a favor for past and future friends. It makes my life more interesting, and as long as people follow the format above, sending out a few hundred articles a day does not cost me anything except a few moments of my time. I am doing this because people helped me when I was ill. What goes around, comes around. Pass it on.

Oh yes, and a plug for Oscar Falcon's Wholesale Nutrition mail order vitamin company. Oscar has been in business over 25 years, is mentioned in a number of books, and is just about the cheapest place you can buy vitamin C short of buying it by the drum from the manufacturer. I have been buying my vitamin C and some other vitamins from him since 1981, when I read about him in "Life Extension" by Pearson and Shaw. (Another book you should read.) You can reach Oscar at 800-325-2664, 408-867-6236 (FAX), and via e-mail at wn@ix.netcom.com, or:

Typical allergy/auto-immune/CFS programs by Dr. Cathcart include diet modification and nutritional supplements to improve immune system function, and may include other medications. Telephone consultations can be arranged, although a personal visit is preferred. Chelation and C therapy is also available for cardio-vascular and other problems.

Personal Recommendation

When I came out to see Dr. Cathcart in 1986, I was so weak from multiple chemical and food allergies that I used a wheel chair part of the time, and was on an activated charcoal respirator. (He had cured my joint pains over the phone, by teaching me a rotation diet and use of some nutritional supplements.) In a few months, he had me back together again and able to work. Long out of that wheelchair and respirator, I am once again a computer consultant specializing in the design of large scale software, and enjoy long nature walks and fast "power" walking!

(For a badly written 100 page account (in 12 parts) of what I did in my battle against Candida Albicans, the yeast syndrome, and the allergies and pains it caused, including some rather unorthodox treatments I tried, send an E-mail to ebutler@mall-net.com, titled REQ W, with the one line message in the body:

CAsend your-email-address
(Substituting your email address in the line above, of course.) You may combine requests. But please, only ask for this book if you or a very close friend have a yeast problem. It is not an entertaining literary work, and makes more sense to those who know the problems first hand.)

Ready? Here is the form again:

ebutler@mall-net.com

Some similar treatments are outlined in a much shorter article from The Rheumatoid Disease Foundation at http://www.mall-net/arth/

If you would prefer an e-mail copy of that article, add the line:

ARsend your-email-address

(Substituting your e-mail address, of course...) to the above request form, and you will get the article and a list other material available from The Rheumatoid Disease Foundation.

In Dr. Cathcart's office, I have met patients like myself from all over the U.S.A. and Europe. He has successfully treated tens of thousands of patients, some of whom are doctors, biochemists, and yes, even AIDS victims. (Although not a cure for AIDS, C helps knock out opportunistic infections; He also knows many other techniques to help those with AIDS and other immune disorders live longer.)

What can I say? He saved my life. He and a number of his patients are now amongst my friends. And that is why I and others have helped make these articles available via the net.
